DHA Expands Administrative Presence in Bahria Town Phase 8 Stakeholders Await Official Policy

Bahria Town Rawalpindi | June 22, 2026

The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) has reportedly expanded its administrative presence in Bahria Town Phase 8, with activities observed in sectors F-2, F-3, F-4, and parts of Sector P. Recent on-ground developments include boundary demarcation, fencing, and the installation of DHA signage in several locations within the affected areas.

The development is linked to a long-standing dispute between DHA and Bahria Town regarding land ownership and joint venture projects. As a result, residents, plot owners, and investors have expressed concerns regarding the future status of their properties and the policies that may be introduced by the relevant authorities.

In response to these concerns, a number of affected members gathered at the Bahria Town Head Office in Phase 8 Rawalpindi to seek clarification and discuss the situation with management representatives. According to participants, Bahria Town management informed them that no formal policy has yet been announced regarding the affected members. However, management assured attendees that the rights and interests of members would be protected and that efforts are underway to resolve the matter through discussions with DHA outside of court.

Given the seriousness of the issue and the concerns of stakeholders, Bahria Town management has requested members to remain calm and allow time for the matter to be resolved. Members have been advised to await the announcement of an official policy before making decisions based on speculation or unverified information.

While DHA has not yet issued an official public statement regarding the affected sectors, some stakeholders who have met with DHA representatives report that the authority is fully aware of the concerns being raised by plot owners and residents. According to these stakeholders, DHA is expected to announce a policy in the near future aimed at addressing these concerns and providing greater clarity regarding the way forward.

Sources familiar with the ongoing discussions suggest that efforts toward an out-of-court settlement between DHA and Bahria Town are continuing. Although such negotiations may require time, both sides are understood to be mindful of the interests of affected members and stakeholders.

For now, the message emerging from both Bahria Town and DHA is clear: stakeholders should remain patient and wait for official announcements and policy decisions. Further updates are expected as discussions progress and formal notifications are issued by the concerned authorities.
