The nationwide Measles and Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign has officially begun in Bahria Town Rawalpindi, running from 17 November to 29 November 2025, as part of Pakistan’s effort to protect children from dangerous infectious diseases.

Children aged 6 months to 5 years across all residential phases of Bahria Town are being vaccinated to ensure immunity against measles and rubella, two highly contagious illnesses that pose a serious threat to young children.

Health teams from the Ministry of National Health Services, in collaboration with WHO, UNICEF, Gavi, and local authorities, are conducting vaccination activities at:

All Bahria Town medical centers

Designated schools and community points

Door-to-door visits in selected areas

Parents are strongly encouraged to bring their children to the nearest vaccination point, even if the child has been previously vaccinated, to ensure complete protection.

The campaign staff emphasized that the MR vaccine is safe, free of cost, and essential for preventing outbreaks. Awareness messages have also been shared across Bahria Town, urging residents to cooperate fully with vaccination teams.
