Bahria Town Civic center (Staff Reporter) — In a joint operation, the district administration and police conducted a crackdown on sheesha cafés across the city, sealing 9 establishments and arresting 64 individuals. The late-night operation targeted unauthorized cafés promoting unhealthy and illegal activities, particularly among the youth.

During the raids, a large quantity of sheesha pipes, tobacco, flavored substances, and other prohibited items were seized. According to officials, the cafés were operating without legal permits, and several underage individuals were also found on the premises.

Speaking to the media, the Assistant Commissioner (AC) City stated:"We are taking these steps for the better future of our youth, to protect them from addictive and harmful activities. Strict legal action will be taken against violators."

According to police officials, cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under various legal sections, and investigations are ongoing. Owners of the sealed cafés have been warned that any further involvement in illegal activities will result in even harsher actions.

The public has welcomed the crackdown and urged authorities to continue such efforts regularly to rid society of the menace of drug use.
